Next Level Mental Performance Teams Up with The Miracle League of Mercer County to Make Baseball Accessible to All
Baseball is our national pastime and “a game for all,” Lou Gehrig famously stated. The 80,000+ children and young adults with disabilities who participate in The Miracle League baseball programs nationwide demonstrate this every day, hitting the fields and practice facilities in wheelchairs and walkers, with smiles and spirit, passion and determination.
Next Level Mental Performance of Langhorne, PA, is proud to announce that it has teamed up with The Miracle League of Mercer County to bring their unique style of coaching to these very special athletes with a seven-week series of workshops.
To learn more about the workshops as well as The Miracle League, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, current and prospective Miracle League participants and their families are invited to attend a free open house on Saturday, February 8, from 11 am to 12 pm, at The Yard training facility on Reed Road in Pennington, NJ.
On hand for the one-hour session will be Next Level Mental Performance co-owner and mental performance consultant Giannina Cipolloni, MS, LPC, CMPC, who also works with the Philadelphia Phillies.
“At Next Level Mental Performance, we work with teams, as well as individual athletes and performers, to reach their goals by training their attention, discipline and other key mental skills,” says Cipolloni. “We help athletes to find their focus, learn how to manage pressure, and above all, build confidence to believe in themselves.”
The series of workshops will cover such topics as positive self-talk, learning how to plan and prepare for traveland away games, the basics of nutrition, cognitive training exercises to improve reaction time and decision-making, good sportsmanship, and more.
“The Miracle League was established to remove the barriers that keep children with mental and physical disabilities from playing baseball,” adds Dan Sczweck, executive director of The Miracle League of Mercer County. “Our ultimate goal is to provide everyone with the opportunity to play the game, to get kids and young adults out the door, to be a part of something. We are so excited to have G (Giannina) and Next Level Mental Performance sharing their expertise and engaging with our special needs community.”
