Katie Bell is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, Mental Performance Coach, and Executive Functioning Coach. Katie received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Villanova University and completed her internship experience with Next Level where she provided both individual and group counseling to adolescents and adults experiencing general and performance anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, perfectionism, relationship concerns, and executive functioning concerns, among others.
Before pursuing mental health counseling and mental performance coaching, Katie worked within three different Division I collegiate athletic departments as an athletic academic counselor and coordinator. She worked closely with athletes from several sports including but not limited to football, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, softball, wrestling, and rugby. She also taught a first-year student class on academic and mental skills, a course that combined executive functioning skills with mental performance tools to help first-year students transition to the collegiate environment both inside and outside of the classroom. Katie chose to pursue a degree in counseling after seeing a need for further mental health and mental performance support for the athletes she served.
Katie believes in meeting the client where they are, focusing on the therapeutic relationship and working collaboratively towards individual goals while gaining insight, building resilience, recognizing strengths, and promoting growth. Katie strives to create a non-judgmental inclusive space, one that focuses on the individual and the unique system they live within while empowering them to reach their fullest potential. Katie’s holistic approach seeks to not just help the client grow in their sport, but also in life.
